We spent time defining what the concept of Learner Agency is for Tasman Bay Christian School. This concept is what I would term a 'critical issue of practice' because it transcends all curriculum areas and is right at the heart of developing independent, self-managing learners.
Oftentimes it is us who are the greatest inhibitor of this for our learners, so the process for revealing this takes time and ongoing, progressively deeper reflection in and on our practices.
Below is what you have so far - the next part of the process is to start using this and testing it with students. Once you know what it looks like/etc. you can plan to develop it for your learners.
